Brutalist Silver Dart Abstract Brooch. Hallmarked for 1971.
A great example of Brutalist style jewellery, this brooch is a classic design from the turn of the 1960’s in the 1970’s when this design style was at its height of popularity. Measurements:55 mm (2 1/4″) long by 25 mm (1″) wide. Hallmarked by the London essay office in 1971, the maker being RDS, which I have not been able to identify. In excellent condition, apart from damage to the clasp. It was originally a rollover type fastening which has been bent and lost a component, however I have adapted the remaining parts to act as a C style clasp. The pin fastens securely into the modified clasp. To be sent in a new black cardboard gift box by a tracked postal service. Free postage to UK addresses, reasonable international rates charged.
