A Pair of Thonet Bentwood chairs
Stylish pair of black bistro chairs by Thonet
‘The bistro chair,’ originally designed by Michael Thonet who began designing and producing chairs in this style from the 1850s. Unsure of the actual date of production of these. The label (pictured) might be worth investigating further. There is quite a lot of information about the history of the company available. The original label can be seen on one of the chairs but they are both identical.
Solid frame and seat. Painted black, with some scratches and nicks here and there, all adding to their character.
