This comes from my own collection.

I bought this a few years back but have only worn it a couple of times as, although I love it, it is just too short in the arms…

I thought about trying to lengthen the sleeves but just never got around to it and so it’s sat in my wardrobe and only been worn a couple of time .

Its not a mass produced item , I believe the original owner made it for themselves, it’s  a fun item .. the appliqué on the back isn’t quite straight and there are minor things to note such as where the original jacket has been repurposed ( where original belt has been removed etc) but it is sound with no damage .

But it’s good fun, the little figures on the front are pinned on and are just ornamental .. it doesn’t fasten ..( as per original jackets)

If it fitted me I would be keeping it but it needs to be worn, not stuck in a wardrobe, and I just don’t have the time to make the alterations.

Selling for less than I purchased it for

42” Bust to fit  38”/40”

28” length from nape of neck

16.5 “ sleeve From under armpit to cuff

Please remember these are garment measurements so you will require some allowance

Authentic clothing from 1900s – 1960s

A few words about ourselves and our store

We are Fiona and Joe, a couple whose love of all things Vintage came about through our passion for dancing, mainly Lindy Hop and various Swing dances. The passion (some may say obsession!) developed into a love of 1930s and 1940s fashion and design. We have always been eclectic in our tastes and wanted to share this affection with others . We love sourcing unusual and interesting items, so now, as well as Vintage clothing, we also include collectibles, home ware and kitchen ware within our store. We also offer hand-made reproduction clothing from authentic sources, all bespoke and respectful of the styles of the eras (you wouldn’t know the difference – but we will be sure to tell you!) We have been trading for some years at Vintage fairs and weekend events and we are now able to share what we love doing online. WE STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT VINTAGE FASHION SHOULD BE ACCESSIBLE TO ALL AND SHOULD BE FUN WITH NO RESTRICTIONS OR PRECONCEPTIONS

** We want our clothing to be for everyone so whilst words such as ‘men’s jacket’ or ‘women’s shirt’ are used; this describes the cut of the clothing in that it is designed to fit a particular body shape but by no means describes who can wear it .
